Siteory vs Semrush Site Audit
Semrush wins if you also buy PPC and keyword research. Siteory wins if you only need the site fixed.
This is an honest split, not a fake scorecard. Semrush Site Audit and Siteory overlap on “look at the website.” They do not sell the same job.
What Semrush does
Semrush is an all-in-one marketing suite. Site Audit runs roughly 130 technical checks, produces client-ready reports, and lives next to keyword research, advertising tools, and an AI Visibility Toolkit sold as an add-on.
What Siteory does
One crawl, three audits, a Markdown report. No keyword database, no PPC planner, no position tracking. The buyer is the person who has to ship the patch.
| Semrush | Siteory | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | All-in-one SEO + PPC suite | Website audit for engineers |
| Entry price | Pro from about $140/mo | $0 preview, $9, or $49/mo |
| Site audit | ~130 checks, client reports | Prioritized findings + why / what / how |
| AI visibility | Paid toolkit / add-on | Included in the AI search audit |
| Security | Not the core product | Paid security pass on the same host |
Choose Semrush when
- The team already runs campaigns in Semrush
- You need client PDFs, keyword gap, and site audit in one login
- You want Semrush’s AI Visibility add-on on top of the suite
Choose Siteory when
- You do not want a $140/month suite to learn the homepage is noindexed
- Security and AI-readability belong in the same ticket as SEO
- The deliverable is a fix prompt, not a marketing dashboard
Semrush is the right default for agencies that already bill against keyword and ads work. The Site Audit module is competent. Independent 2026 reviews still say it is thinner than Screaming Frog on JavaScript and crawl depth.
If the only open ticket is “the site is invisible,” paying for the suite to get the audit is how teams stall. Run Siteory, fix crawl and identity, then decide whether you still need Semrush for research.
Questions
Can Siteory replace Semrush?
No. It replaces a one-off site audit, not keyword research, advertising, or competitive gap reports.
